I never make a list of resolutions that I want to achieve, I just aim to do better than the last year. This year I have decided to make a list to see if I can accomplish any. I feel that if I can look back and check these items off my list I will be able to say I had a great 2018.
2. Save at least $5,000 - I normally just throw money into my savings after every paycheck but this year I want to set a goal. I am not saving up for anything in particular but I believe having this goal will deter me from spending extra money that's not going to my bills on shopping or my huge eating out habit.
3. Become organized - I am a very messy person, always have been and trying not to be anymore. My desk at work is crazy, my car is messy, and my apartment looks like a nuclear bomb went off; my personal spaces reflect how well my life is going. I would like to at least put on the illusion that my life is perfect by putting everything in its intended place and to stop losing things.
4. Achieve career goals - at the end of every year I have a meeting with my boss and we discuss what I want to achieve career wise in the next year. I normally come short of one of my goals or feel like even though I hit all of them I could have done better. This year I would like to gain more confidence in my work and feel amazing about the work that I am producing.
5. Read more books - my mom bought me a nook for Christmas because I use to read books all the time but stopped when I got super busy with my job. I want to cut back my hours spent on the computer/watching Netflix and fill that extra time I will have with reading again.
What are your resolutions for the New Year?
